आर्थिक मोर्चे पर लगातार फेल हो रही केन्द्र सरकार ने पीपीएफ के बाद सुकन्या समृद्धि योजना में बड़ा बदलाव किया है। वित्त मंत्रालय से प्राप्त जानकारी के मुताबिक सरकार ने पांच स्तर पर सुकन्या समृद्धि योजना में बदलाव किया है।

टैक्स बचत के साथ-साथ निवेश के लिहाज से सुकन्या समृद्धि योजना लोगों के बीच बेहद लोकप्रिय योजना है। लेकिन किये गये बदलावों के बाद अगर आपने ध्यान नही दिया तो आपको बड़ा नुकसान हो सकता है।

डिफॉल्ट हो सकता है खाता

मसलन एक वित्तीय वर्ष में सुकन्या समृद्धि खाते में अगर आपने न्यूनतम 250 रुपये जमा नहीं किये तो इसे डिफॉल्ट खाता मान लिया जाएगा। 12 दिसंबर, 2019 को सरकार द्वारा अधिसूचित नए नियम के अनुसार, अब ऐसे डिफ़ॉल्ट खाते में जमा राशि पर अलग से ब्याज दर तय की जाएगी। जबकि इससे पहले, ऐसे खातों पर ब्याज दर डाकघर में मिलने वाली ब्याज दर के बराबर थी। वर्तमान में, सुकन्या समृद्धि योजना के खाते में 8.7% और डाकघर में बचत खाता 4% है।

समय से पहले खाता बदलने के नियम

नए नियमों के अनुसार, बालिका की मृत्यु या सहानुभूति के आधार पर मैच्योरिटी से पहले खाता बंद किया जा सकता है। सहानुभूति उस स्थिति को संदर्भित करती है जिसमें खाताधारक को एक घातक बीमारी का इलाज करना पड़ता है या माता-पिता की मृत्यु हो गई है। इससे पहले, सुकन्या समृद्धि खाता परिपक्वता अवधि से पहले ही बंद किया जा सकता था, यदि खाताधारक की मौत हो गई हो या लड़की का निवास स्थान बदल गया हो।

खाता संभालना

नए नियमों के अनुसार, जिस लड़की के नाम खाता है, वह 18 वर्ष की होने तक अपने खाते पर नियंत्रण नहीं रख सकती है, जबकि पहले यह 10 वर्ष की थी। जब बच्चा 18 साल का हो जाता है, तो अभिभावक को बच्चे से संबंधित दस्तावेज डाकघर में जमा करने होंगे।

ज्यादा दस्तावेज

अब दो से अधिक लड़कियों का सुकन्या समृद्धि खाता खोलने के लिए, अतिरिक्त दस्तावेज जमा करने होंगे। नए नियम के अनुसार, यदि दो से अधिक लड़की का खाता खोला जाना है, तो जन्म प्रमाण पत्र के साथ एक शपथ पत्र देना आवश्यक होगा। इससे पहले, अभिभावक को केवल बच्चे का चिकित्सा प्रमाण पत्र प्रदान करना आवश्यक था।

सुकन्या समृद्धि योजना के नियमों में उपरोक्त बदलावों के अलावा, कुछ नए प्रावधान जोड़े गए हैं, जबकि कुछ को हटा दिया गया है। इन्हें अभी तक स्पष्ट नहीं किया गया है।
